This is “Wild Bill”. He is Welding Neck Assemblies for the Drop Deck Trailer line.

Floor installation for Drop Deck poultry trailer. This worker is screw drilling the hard wood floor to frame of trailer.

This Drop Deck trailer has been placed into the “Rotator” and rotated to  the “Upright Position”

As you can see, This trailer has been placed in the “Rotator“. This machine will rotate a trailer frame 180 Degrees. This operation serves 2 purposes.

 

  1. Welders can now finish welding areas that could not be reached while the trailer was in the upside down position.
  2. It also rotates trailer to upright position. An old set of “Paint Wheels” are installed and this trailer is off to the paint booth.

Welding Line 1. Jeffery and Rebbecca do additional welding to this trailer frame while still loaded into the “Rotator”.

This is the beginning of Welding Line 1. This Worker is finishing up a Beam Assembly for a Flat Bed trailer.

Midway of Welding Line 1. This worker is installing neck doublers, fifth wheel plate assembly and web stiffeners. The through frame Jr. I-beams will be installed at this point too but not shown here. See picture below.

Midway of Welding Line 1. Here at this stage, the crew installs the suspension system, cross members and frame stiffeners. On this particular trailer as you can see, an air ride dual tandem suspension was installed. If you look close, you can see that the “Jr I-Beams” have been placed into their beam slots.
